SUBJECT KNOWLEDGE AND ACADEMIC HISTORY

Science teachers will have to teach all sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) up to Year 11.

Often schools are looking for teachers with two languages, even if the second language is at a lower level. Teachers who speak both French and Spanish are in higher demand.







We will share tutoring opportunities with our partner organisations – these are a great way to gain school-based experience.

ELIGIBILITY
The next few questions help us understand if you are eligible to apply to become a teacher based on government criteria.


An equivalency exam costs around £150 and is done through an external provider. Click here for more information.
To train to teach in the UK, all applicants are required to have a GCSE/O-levels or equivalent in English & maths. Please read the eligibility criteria here. For details on equivalency and whether your international qualifications qualify, click here.

Unfortunately we can't accept applications from people who do not have an undergraduate honours degree from a UK university or approved equivalent overseas qualification. In some instances candidates with an "ordinary degree" will be eligible for salaried places. Please read the eligibility criteria here
