WHERE WE WORK

In our first five years, Now Teach has recruited 500+ teachers in over 100 partner schools, training providers and universities in England.

We form a partnership with your school or university when you start your training. We help you navigate and apply to your initial teacher training place or you may come to us to be in our network having already secured a training place.

Where does Now Teach operate?

Now Teach trainees choose where they train. This is often with a training provider in your immediate area. Now Teach work with you and your training provider whilst you train to teach. This is often done remotely with the virtual network but can be at in-person events and one to one coaching.

Hear from our Now Teachers on what it is like to train in a school:

HOW FAR SHOULD I TRAVEL TO TRAIN?

This is very simple: the commute time to your school should be no more than 45 minutes.

Always remember that your time and energy are hugely important as you change career and retrain. A long journey twice a day is not a good use of your resources.

Teachers also need to be at school on time every day, especially when they have responsibility for a class. Are there multiple routes to school in case your usual one is blocked? Do you have different options for public transport? Working this out will reduce stress if anything goes wrong.

The Department for Education website has a tool where you can search for providers by distance from your home.

Which Schools Do You Work With?

Now Teach operate in state secondary schools, often serving disadvantaged communities. The schools we work with are good or outstanding schools with the capacity for teacher training and a training vacancy in your subject.
