Partnering with the Careers & Enterprise Company
Now Teach and the Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) share a commitment to helping every young person access high-quality careers education.
Together, we're exploring how career-changing teachers can make even stronger connections between classroom learning and future careers. Drawing on CEC's expertise in careers leadership and teacher development, this pilot will help teachers use their own professional experience to broaden students' horizons and bring learning to life.
Supporting maths teachers with MEI
We're partnering with Mathematics in Education and Industry (MEI) to deliver a year-long programme of webinars and workshops for our maths teachers.
The programme will build a community of practice and explore effective approaches to teaching challenging concepts, engaging learners and making the most of initiatives such as the Maths Hubs Network.
Building confidence in physics with The Ogden Trust
Our partnership with The Ogden Trust will provide a series of online sessions to strengthen physics pedagogy.
Led by James de Winter, Strategic Advisor to The Ogden Trust and PGCE Physics Lead at the University of Cambridge, the sessions will cover evidence-informed approaches to teaching core physics concepts, including student misconceptions, modelling, subject-specific language and practical work.
All three programmes will be supported by members of the Now Teach Network, who will share how their own experiences as career changers enrich teaching and help students see the relevance of what they're learning.
