SECTION 4 - UNDERSTANDING THE PROGRAMME
Now Teach is a programme specifically for people that have had a long and successful career, and want to retrain as teachers in challenging secondary schools in London, the West Midlands, East Anglia or Hastings.

If you are successful you will be doing a compressed training year, and will probably have one day off during the week.

You'll be teaching in the classroom from day one, and about 90% of your timetable will be with Years 7 - 11. If you're on the bursaried route, you may be eligible to receive a tax free bursary to cover training fees. You will not receive a salary in your training year.

To prepare you for your first few weeks in school, you may have to attend a summer training programme lasting between 2 and 4 weeks.

If you have a condition which fits the Equality Act definition, please tick 'Yes' even if you are not limited by your condition.
